The competition and antitrust practice at Barros Silva Varela & Vigil was launched in March 2023 when the firm hired José Manuel Bustamante as partner and department head; a former name partner at Bulnes, Urrutia & Bustamante, José Manuel is a highly-rated specialist in litigation before the TDLC, FNE investigations, merger control and compliance programmes.

CMS Carey & Allende's niche, three-member antitrust, competition and trade team is led by Carolina Veas, whose career includes serving as Walmart's external competition compliance officer; Veas has extensive experience in both corporate and antitrust matters, particularly in relation to digital markets.

Carey
