Firms To Watch: Public law and regulation

Led by José Francisco León-Pacheco, the public law practice at Benites, Vargas & Ugaz advises on a range of administrative law and regulatory issues, while also representing clients in administrative sanctioning procedures.
With its June-2024 incorporation of Carlos Monteza -formerly practice head at MOAR Abogados- Cuatrecasas has put itself firmly on the map for public law and regulatory matters; a regulatory and administrative specialist, Monteza has particular strength as regards issues involving the economic analysis of law and legislation.
Following the departure of former practice head Carlos Monteza, MOAR Abogados, boldly promoted both its experienced senior associates in the specialism - Favio Montenegro and Valeria Milla - in mid-2024; the practice is increasingly visible on a range of public law, competition and regulatory matters.
Established in April 2023 by competition and administrative litigation specialists Pierino Stucchi, Jose Antonio Bezada, Carlo Rodas, and Rodrigo Pelaez, Stucchi Abogados has recently welcomed Enrique Priori and José Antonio Tirado from INDECOPI, augmenting the team’s expertise in advising on administrative sanctioning procedures, elimination of bureaucratic barriers, regulatory compliance and permitting and licensing issues.
