The arrival of Eduardo Díaz Gavito from Chevez Ruiz Zamarripa adds further weight to the international trade and customs practice at boutique firm Agon, which focuses on competition, international trade and regulation; he joins a team led by Kenneth Smith, formerly the head of Mexico’s technical negotiation team for the USMCA free trade agreement.
The January 2024 arrival of veteran IT&C practitioner Guillermo Sánchez Chao to launch the  international trade practice at Greenberg Traurig, S.C. puts the Mexico office firmly on the map for such matters; the development comes 12 months after the launch of the office’s tax practice as it continues to further develop its service offering.
The August 2023 arrival of international trade specialist Carlos Véjar considerably reinforced the local team led by Francisco de Rosenzweig at White & Case S.C.’s Mexico City office; the practice group handles a broad range of work – from anti-dumping to USMCA matters – and can call on it’s international capabilities as necessary, most importantly David Bond in Washington DC.
