Enterprise Chambers


Enterprise Chambers continues to house a broad range of barristers with comprehensive company and insolvency law experience. Stephen Davies KC is a highly experienced insolvency specialist who is regularly instructed in the most high-profile cases. He recently acted for the bankruptcy trustee of Georgy Ivanovich Bedzhamov, who owned a property in Belgravia but was declared bankrupt by a Moscow Court in 2018. Ultimately, the Supreme Court affirmed that an English court has no jurisdiction to recognise a Russian bankruptcy order and could therefore not aid a foreign trustee-in-bankruptcy to realise a property. Claire Thompson is noted particularly for her experience handling claims arising from breaches of directors’ duties as well as property law issues in insolvency proceedings.
